Solace Therapy Review

Hello 20 Somethings!
Happy 2018 to you and yours! I don’t know about you, but I’m so feeling the New Year, New Me vibes. And new me, also means new blog posts! Yay!

So this post is the first of a new line of reviews, focussing on small day Spas where you can get your everyday beauty treatments done, such as nails, massages, hair removal etc.

I usually get my gelish done at a well known salon, which you can find at any mall, but recently I’ve been disappointed with their service and have begun venturing out to other smaller salons to get my nails done.

I happened upon Solace Therapy, when a friend of mine invited me to get my nails done with her. In the heart of Buitengracht Street, Cape Town, the venue is accessible and perfect for a girls day.

The salon is clean and well lit and it creates a perfect environment for relaxation. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. On the downside, we weren’t offered any sort of beverage on arrival. (as most salon’s do, which adds a lovely, personal touch.)

I had my gelish done by a lovely therapist named Tamryn, she’s probably one of the best women I’ve had the pleasure of meeting while doing my nails. She was extremely friendly and made for good conversation- and she did a pretty good job with my nails. She’s the main reason I will be returning.

They don’t have as many Gelish colours available as I would have liked, but enough to be able to work with as well as some unusual colours to play around with.

I was very happy with my experience at Solace Therapy and will definitely be returning in the near future. Their prices are reasonable and won’t break your bank and they also stock my favourite skincare range, Environ!

Check out their website here.

Until next time!
Nadine
